Privacy Policy

CuePoint Planning is built by a working DJ, for working DJs. We take your privacy seriously and only collect what we need to run the platform. We don't sell your data — ever.
1. Who We Are
CuePoint Planning ("CuePoint," "we," "us," or "our") is a DJ business management platform operated by CuePoint Planning. Our platform is accessible at cuepointplanning.com.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account registration: name, email address, password
- DJ profile: business name, DJ name, phone number, business address, website
- Event data: event names, dates, venues, client contact details, notes
- Client and contact information you enter into the platform
- Financial data: invoice amounts, deposit records, package pricing (we do not store full payment card numbers)
- Music preferences, questionnaire responses, and run-of-show details
- Communications: feedback, support requests, and feature suggestions
Information collected automatically
- Browser type, device type, and operating system
- IP address and approximate location
- Pages visited and features used within the platform
- Session duration and activity logs
- Error logs and crash reports
Information from third parties
- Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe handles card data directly; we receive only subscription status and customer identifiers.
- Supabase: Our database and authentication provider. Data is stored in Supabase's infrastructure.
- Spotify API: Used for music search within the platform. We do not store Spotify credentials.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the CuePoint Planning platform
- Process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts, password resets)
- Respond to support requests and feedback
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Analyze usage patterns to improve product features
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to any third party.
4. Client Portal Data
When you share a client portal link with your clients, your clients may submit information including music preferences, questionnaire answers, and contact details. This data is stored in your account and is accessible to you as the account holder. Your clients' data is not used by CuePoint for any purpose beyond powering the portal features.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Supabase, which uses PostgreSQL databases hosted on AWS infrastructure. We use industry-standard security practices including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- Encrypted storage for sensitive fields
- Row-level security policies on our database
- Authentication tokens with expiration
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription or request deletion:
- Your data remains accessible for 30 days after cancellation
- After 30 days, your data may be permanently deleted
- Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by law
7. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting). Each is bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data may transfer to the new entity, with notice provided to users.
8. Cookies
We use minimal cookies and browser storage:
- Authentication cookies: Required to keep you logged in (Supabase session tokens)
- localStorage: Used to cache your platform data for performance
- We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of non-essential communications

10. Children's Privacy
CuePoint Planning is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us immediately and we will delete the account.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify users by email or through an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
